Another great week in the Valley! There is so much learning, leadership, and positive growth happening around Cougar Valley, and I love seeing our Cats shine!
Celebrating Respect!
We kicked off our first Character Trait Assembly of the year, focusing on Respect, and our Cats did an outstanding job! Students modeled what respect looks like and sounds like and shared ways we can demonstrate respect throughout our school each day. We also introduced our Golden Awards, which will be presented at our next assembly. We can't wait to recognize students who consistently demonstrate our Cougar Valley values!
November's Character Trait: Responsibility!
How perfect is it that November's character trait is Responsibility just as our Job Squad applicants officially begin their new roles this month! What a wonderful opportunity for our Cats to put responsibility into action by serving our school community, helping others, and being positive role models. We are excited to see our student leaders in action!
ASB Annual Food Drive is Underway!
Our ASB student leaders have officially launched our annual Food Drive, and they are taking their leadership responsibilities seriously! They came up with some fantastic incentives to encourage participation:
- Each week, the class that collects the most food items will earn a visit from our Snack Cart, filled with special treats!
- The overall winning class will receive a Recess Equipment Basket!
I love seeing our students take initiative, think creatively, and find ways to make a difference for others. Thank you for supporting this important effort and helping our Cats give back to our community!
Tonight is Cougar Valley Elementary Night with the Bremerton Sockeyes! 🏒
The Bremerton Sockeyes have been wonderful supporters of Cougar Valley, greeting our students on the first day of school and cheering them on as we kicked off the year. Tonight is our chance to return that support while enjoying some exciting local hockey!
I even have the honor of dropping the puck at 7:00 PM! I hope to see some Cougar Valley families there!
-
Students: FREE admission
-
Adults: $10
It should be a fun night cheering on our local team and showing our Cougar Valley spirit!
Thank you for another wonderful week of partnership and support. It is such a privilege to see our Cats learning, growing, and finding ways to make a difference every day.
There is no better place to be than Cougar Valley!
Have a wonderful weekend, and as always...
Go Cats! 🐾
