Happy Friday Cougar Valley Cats and Families!

Another Great Week in the Valley! 🐾

Way to go, Cats! Our students are doing an amazing job learning routines, following expectations, and settling into the school year. 

This week, we began our Fall Benchmark assessments and started diving into our curriculum. It has been an overall smooth start, and I am so excited for what I predict will be an outstanding year at Cougar Valley!

Please know that this is OUR school, and I welcome all of our families to be a part of our educational journey. Whether that is volunteering in a classroom, helping greet students, monitoring lunch or recess, chaperoning a field trip, or attending a musical performance, we want you to know that we value you, appreciate your partnership, and want you to feel welcome here!

And if volunteering isn't the right fit for your family right now, that's okay, too! There is no pressure or expectation to volunteer. We simply want you to know that you belong here. 
One great way to connect with our school community is through our PTA. Joining the PTA is a wonderful way to stay connected, support our students and school, and be part of the Cougar Valley community in whatever way works best for you.

Thank you, as always, for entrusting your children to us. We are honored to be part of their journey and look forward to all that we will accomplish together this year.

Food Backpacks 4 Kids

Dear Families, Central Kitsap Food Backpack 4 Kids is a program offered in the Central Kitsap School District for children whose families are in need of food assistance/support. We offer students the opportunity to take home a bag filled with easy-to-prepare nutritious foods and snacks portioned to help feed a family of four for each weekend. If you decide to have your family participate, you will need to complete and submit this form. Your child's participation will be kept confidential. Food bags will be sent home with your child each Thursday or Friday beginning October 9th. If you have any questions, or decide your family no longer needs to participate, please contact the Student Support Specialist at your child's school.
