26-27 School Year Information
Dear Cougar Valley Families,
Parent Connection Meetings for all students will be scheduled for Thursday, August 27th in lieu of a Meet and Greet. You will receive an invite from your child's teacher the week of August 24th to set up your parent connection meeting. You and your child will meet individually or in small groups with the teacher to get acquainted and share information about your child and ask questions.
Our District will run a "Slow Start" for All Students the first week of school. All students will participate in 3 half days on August 31st, September 1st and September 2nd. Each day, students will be released at 11:50am. The first full day of school for kindergarten students is Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Please reference the calendar below for any questions regarding the first 2 weeks of school.

We anticipate that both Cougar Valley and Clear Creek Elementary Schools may experience large enrollments and uneven grade-level distribution. Some grade levels may be larger than expected, while others may be smaller. These factors can impact our ability to maintain balanced class sizes and avoid split-grade classrooms. Due to these variables, it may become necessary to assign some newly registered students from one school to the other. Every effort will be made to keep families together and place students in their designated attendance area school whenever possible. This consideration applies only to families residing on Bangor Base.
