Cougar Valley Weekly Family Update

Stronger Together: Every Student, Every Day, Every Possibility

October 3, 2025

Happy Friday Cougar Valley Cats and Families,

We had a wonderful week at Cougar Valley! Our first monthly assembly was a huge success, and we are so proud of our Cats for showing exceptional assembly behavior. To add to the excitement, our students surpassed our first Cat Coin goal of 500, and we celebrated with a schoolwide 60-second dance party! Way to go, Cats!
It is an honor and a privilege to be your principal and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

In Service,
Monday Galbreath

Weekly Updates & Important Information

Cougar Valley Family Cutlure Questionnaire

Please complete the questionnaire in the link below. The staff at Cougar Valley would like to know more about the rich and interesting cultural heritage of the families we serve. With this information, our school can acknowledge and celebrate all of our students' home cultures. Our hope is to create an inclusive environment for all of our students and families.

Drop Off/ Pick Up Procedures

🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminders
First and foremost please take note and follow the NO PARKING SIGNS that have been installed.
To keep our children safe and our routines running smoothly, please adhere to the following:
  1. Form two lines of cars in both the morning and afternoon.
  2. Do not drop students off on the side of the road. If you do not wish to use the car line, please park in a designated space and walk your student in.
  3. Car tags are required for pick-up. If you do not have your car tag, you will be asked to go into the office with your ID.
  4. Always pull forward as far as possible so we can keep traffic moving.
  5. Stay in your vehicle during drop-off and pick-up. Staff will assist students as needed.
  6. Model respect and patience for staff, students, and each other at all times. Our children are watching how we interact.

These procedures are in place to protect our students and keep the process fair and efficient for everyone. When even a few families do not follow them, it creates unsafe conditions and unnecessary delays.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Cougar Valley a safe, respectful, and welcoming community.

Cougar Valley PTA

Please consider joining our wonderful PTA! Your membership does so much to strengthen our school community, and it does not mean you are required to volunteer. By becoming a member, you help build a strong foundation of support for our students, and you can choose how you’d like to share your time and talents in a way that works best for you.
We truly cannot do this work without you. The PTA has already made so many amazing things possible for our Cats—and with your support, we can continue to provide even more opportunities and experiences for our students.
Thank you for considering joining and being part of this important work!
